(d)  The members of the Board shall be removable from office by
the Board of County Commissioners at any time for cause after an
open hearing.

(e)  All vacancies occurring on the said board shall be filled as
hereinbefore provided.

(f)  The Board shall select a chairman from among its members.

(g) Each of the members of the Board shall receive for his services
an annual salary of $1,200,00,
$600.00.

(h) The members of the Board of Police Examiners shall hold no
other public office or position whatever, appointive or elective, or
any office in any political club or organization

(i) All members of the Board of Police Examiners shall take oath
to perform their duties faithfully and impartially and shall take the
further oath or affirmation that in examining candidates for appoint-
ment or promotion, they shall not be affected by any influence or
consideration, except the physical, moral and mental qualifications
of the persons examined.

417A. Police Physician.

On May 31, 1959, the term of office of the Medical Examiner in
office shall be ended. On June 1, 1959, the Board of Police Examiners
shall appoint an experienced medical physician, who shall be a resi-
dent, voter and taxpayer of Anne Arundel County, and shall be
designated as the Police Physician of Anne Arundel County. The
Police Physician shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Police
Examiners and shall receive as full compensation for his services an
annual salary of $1,200,00
$600.00. The Police Physician shall exam-
ine all applicants for appointment to or promotion in the Anne
Arundel County Police Force as to their physical condition and shall
perform such other medical services and duties in connection with
the work of the Police Department as from time to time may be
requested by the Chief of Police or the Board of Police Examiners.

418. The Anne Arundel County Police Force.

[(a) The Anne Arundel County Police Force shall consist of, a

Chief of Police, one Lieutenant, five Sergeants, two desk Sergeants
and forty officers.

(b) Effective, January 1, 1950, the Anne Arundel County Police

Force shall consist of, a Chief of Police, one Captain of Police, four

Lieutenants, nine Sergeants, and a minimum of forty officers, and
as many additional officers as recommended by the Chief of Police,
subject, however, to approval by the Board of County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County.

(c) All salaries paid to the members of the Anne Arundel County
Police Force, shall be paid
semi monthly. All of said salaries shall
be fixed and determined in accordance with the provisions of Section
260 of this Article (1917 Chapter 790).]

(a) The Anne Arundel County Police Force shall consist of one
Chief of Police and such number or numbers of Captains, Lieuten-
ants, Sergeants, Corporals and such other officers
