relating to the form and content of ballot labels for use on voting
machines at elections in Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 122(g) be and it is hereby added to Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections",
subtitle "Voting Machines", to follow immediately after Section
122(f) thereof and to read as follows:
122.
(g). In any election in Cecil County, the titles of offices shall be
arranged vertically with the names of candidates for an office ar-
ranged opposite the title of his office in adjacent rows or columns
under a party name or designation, so that the candidates of a par-
ticular party shall all appear in a vertical party column and opposite
the respective offices for which they are candidates. The party name
or designation at the top of the party column shall be paneled
PRINTED in lettering not smaller than 36-point condensed bold
face type. The name of the party shall also appear in the party
column under each individual candidate's name in not less than
8-point light face type. Within each party column, the candidates
for a particular office shall be separated from the candidates for
any other office by a line of not less than 11-point bold face rule type.
IN THE OFFICE COLUMN, THE NAME OF EACH OFFICE
SHALL BE PLACED AS NEARLY AS PRACTICABLE IN THE
CENTER OR MIDDLE OF THE SPACE IN THE COLUMN FOR
EACH SUCH OFFICE.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 287
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Circuit
Court", sub-heading "Court Library", as amended by Chapter 641
of 1957, relating to the use of fines and recognizances in Prince
George's County for augmentation of the Circuit Court Library
and to provide funds for the salary of a Court Librarian in Prince
George's County.
