will then be reconveyed unto said County Commissioners without
consideration; and

Whereas, the said County Commissioners properly advertised
their intentions to convey said land as aforesaid, in accordance with
Section 22-A of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
the State of Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 376
of the Acts of 1945, and no protest was filed thereto; and

Whereas, the said land has been and is currently being used as an
outdoor recreation field by the general public, therefore making it
impossible for said County Commissioners to declare said land no
longer needed for the general use of the public; and

Whereas, the County Commissioners have been able to make
available to the general public another tract of land owned by the
Board of Education of Wicomico County to serve in the place and
stead of said land hereinafter described; and

Whereas, the County Commissioners of Wicomico County deem it
to the best interest of the general public of said County to convey the
fee simple title in the hereinafter described land unto the said Wico-
mico War Memorial Builders, Inc., its successors and assigns; now,
therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of County Commissioners of Wicomico County is au-
thorized and empowered to convey a fee simple title to two parcels of
property now titled in the name of the County Commissioners of
Wicomico County, to the Wicomico War Memorial Builders, Inc. for
the construction of a war memorial thereon.

The two parcels of property covered by this Act are more parti-
cularly described as follows:

Item First: All that tract or parcel of land situate and lying
in Parsons Election District, of Wicomico County and State of Mary-
land, located on the Southerly side of and binding upon Glen Avenue,
and on the Easterly side of and binding upon a proposed street, and
more particularly described as follows: Beginning for the same at
a cement post located at the intersection of the Southerly line of said
Glen Avenue with the Easterly line of said proposed street, it being
the Northwest corner of the land hereby conveyed, same being shown
on plat hereinafter referred to; (1) thence South 70 degrees 01 min-
ute East by and with said Glen Avenue 815.4 feet to a cement post;
(2) thence South 00 degrees 07 minutes East by and with the land
formerly owned by a certain Thomas A. Hearn, being Item Second
hereinafter conveyed, 1,324.2 feet to the bed of a stream; (3) thence
running in a general Westerly and Northeasterly direction along the
bed of said stream and with the meanderings thereof to a cement post
near the Easterly line of North Park Drive; (4) thence North 29
degrees 18 minutes East 133 feet to a cement post; (5) thence North
29 degrees 18 minutes East 80.6 feet to a cement post; (6) thence
North 58 degrees 53 minutes West 42.04 feet to said proposed street
to a cement post; (7) thence North 19 degrees 59 minutes East by
and with said proposed street 694.57 feet to the place of beginning,
as shown and designated on "Property Survey for War Memorial As-
sociation" made by Filbert M. Hitch, Surveyor, dated February 11,
