COUNTY ROADS BOARD, BE CONSIDERED AS EMPLOYEES
OF THE COUNTY ROADS BOARD BUT NOT AS EMPLOYEES
OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF QUEEN ANNE'S
COUNTY. SUCH EMPLOYEES MAY, HOWEVER, AND ALL
NEW EMPLOYEES OF SAID COUNTY ROADS BOARD SHALL
BE CONSIDERED AS EMPLOYEES OF THE COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF SECURING SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS UNDER
THE PROVISION OF ARTICLE 73B, SECTIONS 35 TO 45 OF
THE CODE OF PUBLIC GENERAL LAWS OF MARYLAND
(1957 EDITION).

376. (a). The County Roads Board for Queen Anne's County
is hereby authorized and empowered in its discretion to adequately
mark for direction and distances all county roads under its super-
vision.

(b). It shall be lawful for the County Roads Board to make and
enforce from time to time such regulations and orders as it may
deem necessary for the preservation of county roads, including the
right to regulate the use of the same by traction engines, wagons,
sleds, and such other vehicles or conveyances as by such use produce
more than ordinary amount of wear and tear thereon. Such orders
and regulations when and as promulgated or altered, shall be pub-
lished once a week for two successive weeks in some newspaper of
general circulation in Queen Anne's County. Any person violating
any such order or regulation shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned for not more than
three (3) months, or both fined and imprisoned.

(c). The County Roads Board may erect and maintain along the
rights-of-way of the county roads the necessary signs, signals or
markers for the purposes of directing the traveling public, warning
them of danger or for any other purposes, which in the opinion of
the Board may be necessary; and any person who removes, damages
or defaces any such signs, notices or markers shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction, fined a sum not to exceed One Hun-
dred Dollars ($100.00).

(d). The County Roads Board may regulate the weights of wagons,
trucks, road engines, road rollers, traction engines, threshing ma-
chines or other vehicles of any kind passing over any bridges or cul-
verts included in the county roads system and the rate of speed of
such vehicles while passing over the same, by posting and main-
taining conspicuously at both ends of or entrance to bridges or cul-
verts, signboards with lettering not less than three inches in height,
worded as follows: "Warning
Weight not to exceed (here insert
numerals) pounds, Speed not to exceed (here insert numerals) miles
per hour", which shall be taken to mean that no vehicle of any kind,
as above enumerated, weighing, with or without any load which
may be in or upon the same, more than the number of pounds speci-
fied on said signboard, shall pass or be drawn, driven, propelled or
in any other manner taken over said bridge or culvert at a greater
rate of speed than that specified on the signboard. Any individual,
firm, copartnership, corporation or other person, whether the owner
of such vehicle, the person in charge and control over the same, or
employee or agent thereof who shall draw, drive, propel or in any
