"Worcester County", sub-title "Deeds", to follow immediately after
Section 53 thereof, and to read as follows:
53A. No deed or deeds conveying real estate or chattels real
lying within the boundaries of any incorporated municipality in
Worcester County shall be accepted by the clerk of the Circuit Court
for recording unless said deed or deeds is marked by the treasurer of
said municipality indicating that all taxes due and any other liens on
said property have been paid to said municipality.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

(Senate Bill 473)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25 (a) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Juries", sub-title "Qualification and Selection of Jurors", relat-
ing generally to the compensation and mileage expenses to be
awarded jurors in Washington County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 25 (a) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Juries", sub-title "Qualification and Selec-
tion of Jurors", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
25.
(a). Jurors in Washington County shall receive [six] eight dol-
lars per day and a reasonable amount, in the discretion of the County
Commissioners for each mile over five miles in going to and return-
ing from court; in Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's and Caroline
counties, seven dollars and fifty cents per day; in Somerset and
Worcester counties, seven dollars and fifty cents per day; in Anne
Arundel County, ten dollars per day, and no extra allowance shall
be given either for mileage or overtime in Anne Arundel County;
and in all other counties, except Allegany, Baltimore, Frederick,
Harford, St. Mary's and Wicomico counties, five dollars per day for
each and every day they shall attend the several courts of this State
as jurors and fifteen cents for each mile over five miles for going
to and returning from the court, once in each term, to be paid by the
counties, respectively, in which courts are held. Jurors in Baltimore
City shall receive such compensation as shall be provided in the
ordinance of estimates of said city each year. In Baltimore County,
jurors shall receive per diem compensation in such amounts as shall
