480                                 Laws of Maryland                        [Ch. 370

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 239 237 (n) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State
Tax Commission", be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 370
(House Bill 668)

AN ACT to repeal Section 150(a), and to add new Section 148(b-l),
to follow immediately after Section 148(b) thereof, to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", to change
the method of appointment of the Board of License Commissioners
of Baltimore County, AND THE INSPECTORS OF SUCH
BOARD, to abolish the present Board AND RELIEVE THE
PRESENT INSPECTORS OF THEIR DUTIES, TO PROVIDE
MINIMUM ANNUAL SALARIES FOR ALL SUCH POSITIONS,
AND OTHER MATTERS GENERALLY RELATING THERE-
TO, and relating to the members thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 150 (a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Boards of
License Commissioners", be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That new Section 148 (b-1) be and
it is hereby added to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Boards of
License Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 148 (b)
thereof, and to read as follows:

148.

(b-1) In Baltimore County, effective on June 1, 1959, the Board
of License Commissioners as it existed
AND THE POSITIONS OF
LIQUOR INSPECTORS AS THEY EXISTED prior thereto is
ARE abolished and the tenure of the members of the board AND
THE LIQUOR INSPECTORS THEN IN OFFICE is terminated on
that date. As of June 1, 1959, the Governor,
BY AND WITH THE
ADVICE OF THE SENATE, shall appoint three persons to consti-
tute the Board of License Commissioners for Baltimore County.
AND THE BOARD SHALL APPOINT NO LESS THAN FOUR
BUT NO MORE THAN FIFTEEN LIQUOR INSPECTORS FOR
