SAID COUNTY. THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY
TO BE FIXED BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND THE
COUNTY COUNCIL, BUT IN NO EVENT TO BE LESS THAN
$3600.00, PLUS SUCH NECESSARY EXPENSES AS MAY BE
AUTHORIZED BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND THE
COUNTY COUNCIL. THE LIQUOR INSPECTORS OF BALTI-
MORE COUNTY SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY TO
BE FIXED BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND THE COUNTY
COUNCIL BY BUT IN NO EVENT TO BE LESS THAN $2400.00,
PLUS SUCH NECESSARY EXPENSES AS MAY BE AUTHOR-
IZED BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND THE COUNTY
COUNCIL.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (f)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's
Attorney", to declare the powers of the Assistant State's Attorney
for Howard County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (f) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact",
sub-title "State's Attorney", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
40.
(f) Howard County.—The State's Attorney of Howard County
shall receive an annual salary of $4,000.00. The State's Attorney may
appoint an assistant State's attorney who shall serve at the pleasure
of the State's Attorney at an annual compensation of $2,000.00. The
Assistant State's Attorney shall have the same legal powers to repre-
sent the State before the grand jury and at the trial of criminal pro-
ceedings that the State's Attorney possesses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
