(House Bill 653)
AN ACT to add new Section 21-12.1 to the Baltimore County Code
1958, title "Pensions and Retirement", sub-title "Fire Bureau
Generally", to follow immediately after Section 21-12 thereof, to
provide for the repayment of money paid into the special fund
to officers or employees of the Fire Bureau of Baltimore County
who cease to be such for any reason after serving for more than
ten years.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 21-12.1 be and it is hereby added to the Baltimore
County Code 1958, title "Pensions and Retirement", sub-title "Fire
Bureau Generally", to follow immediately after Section 21-12 thereof
and to read as follows:
21-12.1. Any person who has been an officer or employee of the
Fire Bureau of Baltimore County formerly known as the Fire De-
partment of Baltimore County, for more than ten years, and who
has contributed to the special fund, and who for any reason ceases
to be such an officer or employee, shall forthwith be paid by Balti-
more County, Maryland, a sum of money equal to that paid into the
fund by the said officer or employee during the time he served as
such. This section shall apply to any person who ceased to be an
officer or employee of the Fire Bureau or Department on or subse-
quent to January 1, 1953.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal Section 239 237 (n) of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-
title "State Tax Commission", relating to the payment of the
minimum rate of salary ranges required to assessors and assistant
supervisors of assessments.
