(1957 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Pinball Machines and
Console Machines", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
19.
(5) The provisions of this section shall only apply to Dorchester,
Talbot, Baltimore [and] , Harford and Wicomico counties and Balti-
more City.
(a) Provided that in Baltimore City said licensees LICENSES
shall be issued by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City
under the authority of Chapter 27 of the Acts of 1951 and ordinances
adopted pursuant thereto.
(b) In Baltimore City and in Baltimore and Harford counties
additional license fees may be imposed by said city or counties, which
additional fees shall be used for the benefit of said counties or city
only.
(c) Provided that in Wicomico County no such license shall be
issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court to any person who has not
been a bona-fide resident and registered voter in Wicomico County
for a perior PERIOD of five years immediately preceding the appli-
cation for such license.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 432 (b)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1958 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title '"State Tobacco Tax
Act", sub-heading "Exemptions", relating to the exemption from
the State Tobacco Tax Act of cigarettes in sample packages for
free distribution.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 432 (b) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1958 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State
Tobacco Tax Act", sub-heading "Exemptions", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
432.
(b) Sample cigarettes.—The tax hereby levied shall not apply to
free distribution of sample cigarettes in packages containing [four
(4)] five (5) or less cigarettes.
