CHAPTER 36
(Senate Bill 125)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 159 (c)
and 159 (j) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County
Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries", correcting errors in the
laws concerning appointments to and vacancies in Liquor Control
Boards in certain counties.

Whereas, In Sections 159 (c) and 159 (j) of Article 2B of the
Code, there are references to the making of appointments to and the
filling of vacancies in Liquor Control Boards by the respective
Boards of County Commissioners; and

Whereas, Through the process of amendment to these sections
there are two sentences which now are actually applicable only to
one county, but which in each instance still use the phrase "the
respective Boards of County Commissioners"; and

Whereas, This plural reference should be changed in order to be
a reference only to the Board of County Commissioners in the par-
ticular county concerned; now, therefore
