sistance to the Needy Blind", be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
16.
The amount of public assistance to the needy blind which any
recipient shall receive shall be determined by the county board with
due regard to the available resources and necessary expenditures of
the individual and the conditions existing in each case, and shall be
sufficient, when added to all other income and support available to
the recipient, to provide such person with a reasonable subsistence
compatible with decency and health. In determining the eligibility
of any applicant for aid under the provisions of this sub-title the first
fifty dollars ($50) of earned income per month, or such amount as
shall be fixed by the Federal Government under similar statutes
controlling Federal Assistance, shall be disregarded and shall not be
deemed an available resource of the applicant within the meaning
of this sub-title.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 35
(Senate Bill 117)
AN ACT to add new Section 25 (e) to Article 36 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-
title "Sheriffs", to follow immediately after Section 25 (d) thereof,
relating to the fees chargeable by the Sheriff of Harford County
in the performance of his official duties.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 25 (e) be and it is hereby added to Article 36 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Fees of Offi-
cers", sub-title "Sheriffs" to follow immediately after Section 25 (d)
thereof and to read as follows:
25(e). (Harford County). The Sheriff of Harford County shall be
entitled to charge and receive the following fees for the following
items, in lieu of the fees provided for such items in the above Sub-
section (a), to wit:
1. For serving writ and return $1.00
2. For serving scire facias, including the person
summoned, for each person summoned 1.00
3. For serving citation, for each person summoned 2.00
