42                                Laws of Maryland                        [Ch. 37

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 159 (c) and 159 (j) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "County Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries", be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

159.

(c) Appointment.—The members of the respective boards shall
be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the
Senate. Provided, that in Somerset County they shall be appointed
by the Governor. In Harford County they shall be appointed by [the
respective Boards of County Commissioners] the Board of County
Commissioners.
In Caroline County the County Commissioners shall
be ex officio the members of the liquor control board. In Kent County
the County Commissioners shall be ex officio the members of the
liquor control board. In Harford County said board shall also be
known as the board of license commissioners of Harford County,
upon which shall be devolved all the duties and rights given else-
where in this article. In Montgomery County the director of the
department of liquor control shall be appointed and removed by the
county manager with the approval of the county council.

(j) Vacancies.—In case of a vacancy on an appointive board for
any reason whatever, it shall be filled for the unexpired term in the
same manner as the original appointment; except that in Worcester
County the vacancy shall be filled by the Governor with the advice
and consent of the Senate, and in Harford County the vacancy shall
be filled by [the respective Boards of County Commissioners] the
Board of County Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 37
(Senate Bill 128)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Testamentary Law", sub-title "Account", increasing the commis-
sions which may be authorized to be paid to the administrator or
executor of a decedent's estate from two to four percent on the
amount of the estate exceeding $20,000.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
