Whereas, These particular provisions should be removed from the
law, being obsolete under the State-wide laws concerning tax sales;
now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 209 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Reve-
nue and Taxes", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
209. All taxes due and owing by any taxpayer upon real or per-
sonal property, or both, shall be a prior lien on all the real estate
of such taxpayer, and [either the real estate or] personal property
may be sold to pay such taxes. [In selling real estate to enforce the
payment of taxes, the Treasurer may sell such parcel or parcels of
same as he deems necessary and shall not divide any parcel or tract
of real estate.] Real estate, also, may be sold to enforce the payment
of taxes following the procedure in Article 81 of the Annotated Code,
sub-title "Tax Sales".
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 25
(Senate Bill 76)
AN ACT to repeal Section 133 of Article 15 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent County", sub-
title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Court Stenographer", said
section having been last amended by Chapter 588 of the Acts of
1949, repealing a section of the Local Laws of Kent County con-
cerning the compensation of the Court Stenographer, said section
now being obsolete by reason of the provisions in Sections 36, 37
and 38 of Article 26 in the 1957 Edition of the Annotated Code of
Maryland.
Whereas, Sections 36, 37 and 38 of Article 26 in the 1957 Edition
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, which were enacted by Chapter
278 of the Acts of 1953, provide for the compensation of the Court
Stenographer in the Second Judicial Circuit which includes Kent
County; and
Whereas, Said Chapter 278 of 1953 repealed two sections of the
Local Laws of Kent County having to do with the salary of the Court
Stenographer, but did not repeal Section 133 thereof; and
Whereas, Since this Section 133 no longer is effective it is desir-
able that it be repealed; now, therefore
