THEREON.

(4) Encourage formation of local and sectional development
committees and cooperate with local civic groups and other local,
state and federal development agencies.

(5)    Disseminate information in the interest of industrial develop-
ment
AND IN THE INTEREST OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE
TOURIST BUSINESS IN THIS STATE, by publication, advertising
and other means.

(6)    Collect and assemble information and data available from
other state agencies and departments.

261.    So far as may be practicable in performance of its duties
in connection with collecting and assembling of information, the com-
mission shall make use of such pertinent data as may be secured
from the boards, commissions, agencies and institutions of this
State. The commission shall have access to all records, data, in-
formation and statistics of such other boards, commission
COM-
MISSIONS, agencies and institutions except such records or infor-
mation that is required by law to be confidential and secret.

262.    In the performance of its duties, the commission is hereby
authorized and empowered to make and enter into contracts, and to
assume such other functions as are necessary to carry out the pro-
visions of this sub-title that are not inconsistent with this or other
acts. The commission may make and enter into contracts with other
boards, commissions, agencies and institutions of this State or other
states, upon such terms as
may. be mutually agreed upon, to have such
studies and research activities conducted as may be necessary and

proper, the cost thereof to be paid out of funds which may be ap-

PROPER, AND IS AUTHORIZED TO PAY THE COST THEREOF
OUT OF FUNDS WHICH MAY BE Appropriated to the com-
mission.

263.    The commission may designate advisory boards or commit-
tees among interested groups of citizens, including those represent-
ing industry, seafood interests, labor, agriculture, railroads and other
forms of transportation and utilities, recreation and other economic
fields as the commission may deem advisable. Such boards or commit-
tees shall advise with the commission as to it
ITS work and the com-
mission shall, as far as practicable cooperate with such advisory
boards or committees to secure the active aid thereof in the accom-
plishment of the aims and fulfillment of the duties of the commission

264. The commission shall meet regularly and shall hold special
meetings at the call of the Goevrnor
GOVERNOR or the chairman.
four SIX members shall constitute a quorum. The Commission shall
adopt such rules and regulations as it may deem necessary to govern
it ITS procedure and business.

265. The commission is empowered to employ a chief clerk
such other employees as its business may require within limits of
its appropriation, and to fix the compensation and duties
