266. Annual reports shall be made and filed with the Governor
and members of the General Assembly, including suggestions and
recommendations for the improvement and advancement of the eco-
nomic welfare of the people of the State.
3. And be it further enacted, That the initial General Fund appro-
priation for the Department of Economic Development shall not
exceed the sum of $150,000.00 $175,000.00, INCLUDING SUCH
FUNDS AS MAY BE APPROPRIATED TO THE DEPARTMENT
OF INFORMATION.
SEC. 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT AS OF
JULY 1, 1959, ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY, OFFICE FURNI-
TURE AND FIXTURES AND ALL APPROPRIATIONS AND
CREDITS ON THE BOOKS AND ACCOUNTS OF THIS STATE
IN THE POSSESSION OF OR CREDITED TO THE DEPART-
MENT OF INFORMATION SHALL BE TRANSFERRED TO AND
PLACED IN THE CUSTODY AND USE OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT HEREIN CREATED. IN AD-
DITION, ALL REFERENCES IN THE LAWS, ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS OF EVERY DEPART-
MENT AND AGENCY OF THIS STATE AND OF ITS POLITICAL
SUB-DIVISIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION
SHALL THENCEFORTH BE TAKEN AND CONSTRUED TO
BE REFERENCES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT HEREIN CREATED.
Sec. 4 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 708 (u)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and Clams", relating
to the taking of oysters on privately leased grounds by non-resi-
dents in Somerset County, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE
TO THAT WATER AREA IN SOMERSET COUNTY ONLY IN
POCOMOKE SOUND AND POCOMOKE RIVER ONLY EAST
OF TULL'S POINT AND MARUMSCO NATURAL OYSTER
BAR EASTWARD TO WILLIAMS' POINT, and relating gen-
erally to oysters therein.
