(e) The study and review of anticipated and projected Tax sources
for future fire tax legislation;
(f) The study and review of proposed and anticipated future
legislation concerning fire tax matters;
(g) The recommendation of the Committee to the General
Assembly of Maryland concerning future and further legislation
concerning fire tax levies, collection and distribution in Prince
George's County.
4. The Committee hereby created shall conduct meetings in such
places in Prince George's County as it may determine advisable;
and, the Board of County Commissioners, the Board of Education
and the Fire Companies in said County are hereby requested to make
available to said Committee such facilities as may be available to
them, respectively, for such meetings.
5. The members of the Committee hereby created shall receive
no compensation for their services as such members; but the County
Commissioners of said County are hereby authorized and empowered
to provide such clerical services as may be necessary for recording
the findings of said Committee and the preparation of its report.
6. The Committee hereby created shall prepare its report and
formulate its recommendations concerning the subjects hereby re-
ferred to it and submit its report to the President of the Senate and
THE STATE SENATOR FOR PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY AND
the Speaker of the House of Delegates and the Chairman of the
Prince George's County Legislative Delegation not later than one
week after the convening of the 1961 Session of the General
Assembly of Maryland.
7. The Committee shall organize promptly, conduct hearings as
considered necessary, and continue in existence until, and shall
terminate its functions7 coincident with, the sine die adjournment
of the 1961 Session of the General Assembly of Maryland.
And be it further
Resolved, That the Governor of Maryland be and is requested to
notify the several officers and organizations listed hereinabove of
the adoption of this Joint Resolution requesting that they comply
with its provisions and designate the members of said Committee
and request said designees to meet, organize and conduct the studies
herein provided for and make recommendations in accordance here-
with.
