AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 119 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1953 Edition,
being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said sec-
tion having been amended by Chapter 331 of the Acts of 1957,
relating generally to the obtaining of financial assistance by volun-
teer fire companies in Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 119 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1953 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
said section having been amended by Chapter 331 of the Acts of
1957, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
119. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are hereby
directed to levy, on the assessable property in Cecil County, annually,
the sum of [Twenty-four Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($24,-
400.00)] Thirty-three FOUR THREE Thousand Six Hundred Dol-
lars ($33,600) $34,600.00 $33,600.00 for the purpose of assisting
in the maintenance and operation of the nine volunteer fire com-
panies in Cecil County, in the following amounts; provided, that in
order to be eligible for any of the following amounts, each of the
said nine volunteer fire companies named herein shall meet the
minimum specifications and standards for approval laid down by the
Harford and Cecil County Volunteer Firemen's Association.
Cecilton Fire Company, Inc., [$2,400.] $3,100.
Hack's Point Fire Company, [$2,000.] $2,400 $2,500. $2,400.
Charleston Fire Company, Inc., [$2,400.] $2,800. plus $200 for
trescue boat $3,400. $3,000
Chesapeake City Fire Company, [$2,400.] $3,200.
Singerly Fire Company of Elkton, [$2,400] $4,200. for operation
and maintenance and [$800.] $1,000. for the ambulance.
North East Fire Company, [$2,400.] $3,600. and [$800.] $1,000.
for the ambulance.
