ment shall apply and use the special fund for research and experi-
mentation in problems of fishery supply, including, but not neces-
sarily limited to, field and laboratory research on the success or
failure of fish eggs, fry and young; environmental factors which
affect fish eggs, fry and young; and other biological problems relating
to the supply and abundance of fish life.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That any license fees collected
under the provisions of said Section 302 of Article 66C prior to
July 1, 1959, and unexpended and unencumbered on that date, are
transferred to the Department of Research and Education to be
applied and used in the programs provided for following that date
by the amended portions of Section 302, as in this Act contained.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 698 (d)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and Clams", providing
for the hours during which oysters may be landed and generally
relating thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 698 (d) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters
and Clams", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
698.
(d) Time for taking or landing oysters.—It shall be unlawful for
any person to take oysters on Sunday or between sunset and sunrise
on any other day; or to land oysters earlier than one [-half] hour
before sunrise or later than one [-half] hour after sunset; or for
any buy boat or buy truck to unload oysters earlier than sunrise or
later than sunset unless such cargo of such buy boat or buy truck
be accompanied by a certificate of inspection issued by an inspector
of the Department of Tidewater Fisheries which certificate shall
set forth the point of origin and time thereof, which time of origin
must have been between sunrise and sunset, and the quantity, in
bushels, of the cargo, in which case such buy boat or buy truck may
be unloaded between sunset and sunrise.
