Highways", relating to penalties for failure to fulfill the require-
ments of Section 199 (a) of the aforesaid Code.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 199 (b) of Article 66i/2 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Operation of
Vehicles Upon Highways", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:
199.
(b) Penalties. —Any person failing to stop or to comply with said
requirements under such circumstances shall upon conviction be
punished by imprisonment for not less than [30 days] one year nor
more than [one year] five THREE years or by fine of not less than
fifty ($50. 00) dollars nor more than one thousand ($1, 000. 00) dollars,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 42
(House Bill 1)
AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State Govern-
ment and for the aid of sundry schools and institutions and for
other purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1961.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subject to the provisions hereinafter set forth and subject to
the Public General Laws of Maryland relating to the Budget pro-
cedure, the several amounts hereinafter specified, or so much thereof
as shall be sufficient to accomplish the purposes designated, are
hereby appropriated and authorized to be disbursed for salaries,
wages, technical and special fees and all other expenses for the de-
partments, boards, commissions and officers of the State, and to the
respective schools and institutions, and for the several purposes
specified for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1960, and ending June
30, 1961 as hereinafter indicated.
