of the court; provided, that this section shall not apply to any per-
son committing the acts thereby prohibited with intent to prevent
violations of this sub-title or to procure the punishment of offenses
against the same.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 40
(House Bill 102)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 32 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Burglary; Breaking
and Entering", increasing value of goods taken from $25. 00 to
$100. 00, in the laws relating to breaking into certain premises.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 32 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Bur-
glary; Breaking and Entering", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
32.
Every person, his aiders, abettors and counsellors, who shall be
convicted of the crime of breaking a dwelling house in the daytime
with intent to commit murder or felony therein, or with intent to
steal, take or carry away the personal goods of another of any value
therefrom, or breaking a storehouse, filling station, garage, trailer,
cabin, diner, warehouse or other outhouse in the day or night with
an intent to commit murder or felony therein, or with the intent to
steal, take or carry away the personal goods of another of the value
of [twenty-five dollars ($25. 00)] One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) or
more therefrom, shall be sentenced to the penitentiary for not more
than ten years.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.
