298 JOINT RESOLUTIONS

No. 9
(House Joint Resolution 9)

House Joint Resolution to continue the existence of the Commission
to Study the Migratory Bird Laws authorized by Joint Resolution
34 of 1959.

WHEREAS, The Governor's Commission to study the Migratory
Bird Laws, authorized by Joint Resolution 34 of 1959 (House Joint
Resolution 32), has made its report to the General Assembly of 1960
as required in the resolution; and

WHEREAS, The Governor's Commission has worked diligently and
seriously to discharge its duties; and

WHEREAS, The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Game and
Inland Fish Commission have expressed their feeling that the work
of the Commission has created a better understanding of the prob-
lems of migratory bird management; and

WHEREAS, The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Game and
Inland Fish Commission feel that liason between their groups, the
General Assembly of Maryland and the organized sportsmen of the
State is eminently desirable, and to effectuate these ends; now there-
fore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Gover-
nor of Maryland is requested to continue the existence of this Com-
mission with the membership called for in Joint Resolution 34; and
be it further

THAT THE GOVERNOR BE AND
HE IS HEREBY REQUESTED TO MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE
COMMISSION FROM FUNDS AT HIS DISPOSAL SUCH
AMOUNTS AS HE MAY CONSIDER REASONABLE AND
PROPER for printing costs and other expenses incurred by the
Chairman on behalf of the Commission; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution is sent to the Governor
of Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 11)

House Joint Resolution Requesting the Legislative Council to appoint
a committee of three members of the House of Delegates of Mary-
land and three members of the Senate of Maryland to study and
report on the problem of Unauthorized Practice of Law in Mary-
land.
