Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 22 (a) and (b) of Article 1A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Aeronautics", sub-title "Gen-
eral Provisions", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

22. (Registration of Aircraft.) (a) (Aircraft Registration) All
aircraft operating over the lands and waters of this State or based or
hangared within this State
shall be registered annually with the Com-
mission and a registration fee paid as herein provided. No aircraft
shall be issued a State registration certificate that does not have an
appropriate and effective registration or airworthiness certificate as
issued by the United States Civil Aeronautics Authority, or similar
federal authority.

(b) (Aircraft, registration application; fees) Applications for
the registration of aircraft shall be accompanied by a sworn state-
ment containing all of the information required by the Commission
for such registration.

Registration fees shall be payable annually on the first day of
[August] January, and registration certificates for part of a year
issued after the first day of the following [February] July shall be
issued at the rate of fifty (50) per centum of the annual fee. The
fee shall be computed at the rate of one and one-half cents (1½¢)
per pound of manufacturer's gross weight for the aircraft being
registered; except that the annual fee for any aircraft shall be not
less than Ten Dollars ($10.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 236)

AN ACT to add new Section 24 (j) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Special and Temporary Licenses", to follow immediately
after Section 24 (i) thereof, providing for and relating to a special
beer license for religious, fraternal, charitable or veterans' organi-
zations and clubs in St. Mary's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 24 (j) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Special and Temporary Licenses", to follow
immediately after Section 24 (i) thereof, and to read as follows:
