Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Na-
tural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish",
sub-headings, "Upland and Migratory Game Birds and Game Ani-
mals" and "Deer", respectively, be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments,; AND THAT NEW SUB-SEC-
TION (M) BE AND IT IS HEREBY ADDED TO SECTION 131
OF SAID ARTICLE, TITLE, SUB-TITLE, AND SUB-HEADING,
TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SUB-SECTION (L)
THEREOF, AND ALL to read as follows:
131. (a) Open Seasons—The open season for game birds and
game animals shall be set by regulation of the Game and Inland Fish
Commission under authority conferred upon it by Section 115 of
Article 66C within the prescribed date listed below. The Game and
Inland Fish Commission shall adopt and publish seasons on game
birds and game animals annually on or before April 25 of each year,
provided, however, that wherever the Game and Inland Fish Com-
mission, in the exercising of its powers and authority, restricts or
reduces the number of days normally allowed for the hunting, taking,
capturing, killing, possession, sale, purchase, shipment, transporta-
tion, carriage or export of any wild bird or wild animal because of
an emergency situation, or condition, said Game and Inland Fish
Commission shall have the authority to extend the period afore-
mentioned beyond the days specified below so as to provide a com-
parable number of days in any given season for the hunting, taking,
capturing, killing, possession, sale, purchase, shipment, transporta-
tion, carriage or export of any wild bird or wild animal.

September 1 to October 20, inclusive.
November 1 to January 31, inclusive.
September 1 to December 31, inclusive.
October 5 to October 31, inclusive.
Provided, further, that a landowner
residing on his farmlands, or a tenant
of said farmlands, may kill any
squirrel if said squirrel is destroying
corn on said farmlands between Au-
gust 15 and October 1, inclusive. And
in Baltimore City where squirrels are
damaging personal property the own-
er or tenant of said property may kill
said squirrel or squirrels at any time.
September 1 to January 5, inclusive.
October 1 to January 5, inclusive.
November 15 to January 5, inclusive.
It shall be unlawful to hunt any up-
land game in any manner in Garrett
and Allegany Counties during the
open season for the hunting of deer.
It shall be unlawful to hunt or kill any
dove in Garrett County at any time.
May be hunted, pursued, or killed for
a period of six days beginning the
first Monday in December, except on
the Woodmont Rod and Gun Club in
