140C. Delegation of Duties. All authority vested in the State
Chemist by virtue of the provisions of this sub-title may with like
force and effect be executed by such employees of the Board of Agri-
culture as the State Chemist may from time to time designate for
said purpose.

140D. Cooperation. The State Chemist is authorised and em-
powered to cooperate with, and enter into agreements with, any other
agency of this State, the United States Department of Agriculture,
and any other State or agency thereof for the purpose of carrying
out the provisions of this sub-title and securing uniformity of regu-
lations.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this
Act is declared unconstitutional, or the applicability thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, the constitutionality of the
remainder of this Act and the applicability thereof to other persons
and circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That all acts and parts of acts

inconsistent with this Act are hereby expressly repealed.

SEC. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT JURISDIC-
TION IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE DISTRIBU-
TION, SALE AND TRANSPORTATION OF PESTICIDES IS BY
THIS ACT VESTED EXCLUSIVELY IN THE STATE CHEMIST
AND ALL ACTS AND PARTS OF ACTS INCONSISTENT WITH
THIS ACT ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY REPEALED.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 1958.

CHAPTER 537
(House Bill 176)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 131 (a)
and 195 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-headings, "Up-
land and Migratory Game Birds and Game Animals" and "Deer",
respectively,; AND TO ADD NEW SUB SECTION 131 (M) TO
SAID ARTICLE, SUB TITLE AND SUB HEADING OF THE
CODE, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SUB SECTION
(L) OF SAID SECTION 131, relating to the hunting and killing
of deer in open season. WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 131 (a) and 195 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated
