CHAPTER 507
(Senate Bill 615)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (f) of
Article 40 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title
''State's Attorney", increasing the money allowed for clerical
expenses for the State's Attorney of St. Mary's County and abol-
ishing the rental allowance.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (f) of Article 40 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
40.
(f) Charles, St. Mary's and Talbot counties.—The State's at-
torneys of Charles, St. Mary's and Talbot counties shall each receive
an annual salary of $3,000.
The State's attorney of St. Mary's County shall be allowed
[twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00)] eighteen hundred dollars
($1,800.00) annually for clerical expenses [and a six hundred dollar
($600.00) annual rental allowance].
The county commissioners of Charles County are authorized to
appoint an assistant State's attorney and a secretary to the State's
attorney, each to receive a salary of $1,800.00 a year.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 215 (b)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland
Water Fish", sub-heading "Regulations for Taking of Game and
Fresh Water Game Fish in Non-Tidal Waters", providing that
persons 16 years of age or under need not procure a license to fish
in non-tidal waters.
