sub-section until the lapse of thirty days from the beginning of the
season where he shall take or catch such oysters; and provided fur-
ther, that no license shall be required for the taking or catching of
oysters from the waters of Worcester County. In order to take or
catch oysters in the waters of Wicomico County,
AND DORCHES-
TER COUNTY, a person who is sixty-five years of age or over must
have resided within the limits of Wicomico County
AND DORCHES-
TER COUNTY for not less than the sixth SIX months immediately
preceding.
THE FIRST DAY OF THE TONGING SEASON.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 467
(Senate Bill 362)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 43 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Commis-
sioners of Pharmacy", said new section to be known as Section
258A and to follow immediately after Section 258 thereof, pro-
hibiting the sale of drugs or patent medicines by way of vending
machines , SPECIFYING PROVISIONS FOR APPROVAL OF
CERTAIN EXCEPTED COMMODITIES, and providing a penalty
therefor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Health", sub-
title "Commissioners of Pharmacy", said new section to be known
as Section 258A, to follow immediately after Section 258 thereof,
and to read as follows:

258A. It shall be unlawful for any person, co-partnership, as-
sociation or corporation to sell, distribute, vend or otherwise dispose
of any drug, medicine or pharmaceutical or medical preparation by
means of a vending machine, automatically operated coin machine,
or other similar device.
; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT, WHEN-
EVER THE STATE BOARD OF HEALTH DETERMINES THAT
A SPECIFIED COMMODITY IS NOT DELETERIOUS OR IN-
JURIOUS TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY AND THE DIS-
PENSING OF SUCH SPECIFIED COMMODITY FROM SUCH A
MACHINE OR DEVICE IS APPROVED BY SUCH BOARD AND
A PERMIT ISSUED BY IT FOR THE DISPENSING OF SUCH
SPECIFIED COMMODITY FROM SUCH A MACHINE OR DE-
VICE, THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL NOT BE
APPLICABLE AS TO SUCH PERMITTED AND APPROVED
SPECIFIED COMMODITY. Any person, co-partnership, association
