or corporation that shall violate this Section shall, upon conviction,
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not more than One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense, and each and every day
such violation continues shall constitute a separate and distinct
offense.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(Senate Bill 364)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
47(h) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "County Commissioners",
sub-title "County Treasurers", relating to the salary of the Treas-
urer of Charles County and to his expense allowance.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section 47(h) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "County Com-
missioners", sub-title "County Treasurers", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
47.
(h) Charles County Treasurer and assistant.—The county treas-
urer of Charles County shall receive an annual salary of [$3,000.00]
$6,000.00. $5,000.00. The incumbent County Treasurer shall receive,
for the duration of his present term only, the sum of $1,500.00 annu-
ally for expenses, payable monthly.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act increasing the salary of the County Treasurer shall not be con-
strued to extend or apply to the Treasurer in office on the effective
date hereof but shall take effect with the next term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
