County Commissioners and to receive such compensation as the
County Commissioners may determine.

186.  (Oath) Before entering upon the duties of said respective
offices, the Clerk and Deputy Clerk shall make a declaration of re-
ligious belief and take and subscribe the oath set forth in Article I,
Section 6 of the Constitution of Maryland before the County Com-
missioner designated as President and the same shall be recorded in
the minutes of the proceedings of the County Commissioners.

187.   (Bond) And before entering upon the duties of said respec-
tive offices, the Clerk and Deputy Clerk shall give bond to the
State of Maryland in such penal sum and with such sureties as the
County Commissioners may determine and approve, conditioned for
the faithful performance of all duties of said office and honest ac-
counting for all money that may come into his hands in his official
capacity; the expense of which shall be borne by the County and shall
be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said
County.

188.   (Duties of Clerk) The Clerk shall attend every meeting of the
County Commissioners and keep the minutes and proceedings of such
meetings in a well bound book reserved for that purpose. He shall
perform such other and further duties as may be prescribed by order
of the County Commissioners or by any Public General or Public
Local Law.

189.   (Duties of Deputy Clerk) The Deputy Clerk shall have and
exercise all of the powers and duties of the Clerk when the Clerk is
unable to perform the same by reason of sickness, absence or for any
other reason, and shall perform such other and further duties as may
be prescribed by order of the County Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 374
(House Bill 525)

AN ACT to add new Section 364B to Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Licenses", said new section to follow immediately after
Section 364A thereof, said section having been last amended by
Chapter 210 of the Acts of 1953, requiring persons engaged in the
business of fortune telling and other relative practices to obtain a
license and providing a penalty for any violation thereof.
