one (1) printer foreman; one (1) printer; twenty-four (24) turn-
keys; [twenty-five (25)] such number of signal and telephone
operators as may be necessary in the judgment of the Police Com-
missioner; five (5) maintenance laborers; one (1) superintendent.
Maintenance of Buildings; one (1) supervisor, Central Control Rec-
ords; one (1) assistant supervisor, Central Control Records; such
number of crossing guards as may be necessary in the judgment of
the Police Commissioner;
[eight (8)] such number of station-house
clerks and such additional clerks and civilian employees for duty
at police headquarters, or elsewhere in the City of Baltimore, as may
in the judgment of the Police Commissioner be necessary. [The
additional patrolmen authorized for 1954 and 1955 shall be added to
the police force in equal quarterly additions.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 373

(House Bill 497)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 185 to 187, inclusive, of Article 18 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
Sections 185 to 187, inclusive, having been last amended respec-
tively, by Chapters 309, 224 and 225 of the Acts of 1955, and to
enact new Sections 185 to 189, inclusive, in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place and stead of the sections so repealed, Sections 188
and 189 thereof having been repealed by Chapter 303 of the Acts
of 1955, said new sections to be under the new sub-heading "Clerk",
relating to the Clerk and Deputy Clerk to the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 185 to 187, inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said Sections 185 to
187, inclusive, having been last amended respectively by Chapters

and that new Sections 185 to 189, inclusive, be and they are hereby
