Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 335
(House Bill 313)
AN ACT to add new Section 235 (h) to Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new section to follow im-
mediately after Section 235 (g) thereof, relating to the salaries of
the assessors in Allegany County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 235(h) be and it is hereby added to Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Revenue and
Taxes", sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new section to follow
immediately after Section 235(g) thereof, and to read as follows:
235. (h) The County Commissioners of Allegany County may levy
and pay such additional sum in excess of the salary established by
Sub-section (c) hereof to the assessors of said county as in their
discretion they shall determine (not to exceed an aggregate payment
of salary to each of said assessors of $5,200.00); provided, however,
that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State shall be limited
to the amount prescribed in the schedules heretofore set forth.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 336
(House Bill 315)
AN ACT to add new Section 234 (j) to Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new section to follow im-
mediately after Section 234 (i) thereof, relating to the salaries of
the Supervisor of Assessments in Allegany County.
