the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty, as such status and rights
existed on June 1, 1957, except as specifically provided herein.
Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed as affecting in any manner the status and rights of any
person licensed for the practice of medicine and surgery by the
Board of Medical Examiners representing the Maryland State
Homeopathic Medical Society, as such status and rights existed on
January 1, 1956, except as specifically provided herein.
Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That as of the effective date of
this Act, the records and any other property or things of any descrip-
tion belonging to the Board of Medical Examiners representing the
Maryland State Homeopathic Medical Society shall be turned over
to and become the property of the Board of Medical Examiners for
the State of Maryland, selected by the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That as of the effective date of
this Act, all powers and duties of the Board of Medical Examiners
representing the Maryland State Homeopathic Medical Society there-
tofore exercised or held by said Board shall from and after that date
be vested in and exercised by the Board of Medical Examiners for
the State of Maryland, selected by the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty, including specifically the power to revoke in accordance
with law licenses issued by the Board of Medical Examiners repre-
senting the Maryland State Homeopathic Medical Society.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That reference elsewhere in the
laws or regulations of this State to the State Board of Medical Ex-
aminers representing the Maryland State Homeopathic Medical
Society shall hereafter be taken to apply to the Board of Medical
Examiners for the State of Maryland selected by the Medical and
Chirurgical Faculty, if such construction would be consistent with
the abolition of the Board of Medical Examiners representing the
Maryland State Homeopathic Medical Society. Except as herein
specifically provided otherwise, all laws and regulations inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
