(b)   The bait sold shall be only minnows, chubs measuring less
than six inches in length, killifishes and mad toms and must be pro-
cured from the waters of the Potomac River only. The live-bait dealer
shall not possess more than 750 bait-fish of all types allowed at one
time.

The bait boxes of the live-bait dealer shall be open for inspection
by the wardens at all reasonable times.

(c)   The live-bait dealer shall not sell more than thirty-five (35)
bait-fish to any one person in any one day. No bait-fish shall be trans-
ported out of Frederick County or sold outside Frederick County by
the licensee; and the purchaser from the licensee may not resell bait-
fish but may transport the bait-fish outside of Frederick County.

(d)  Any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of
this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction before any Justice of the Peace of this State or Court shall
be fined not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and costs for each and every offense
or sentenced to jail until said fine and costs have been paid.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 330
(Senate Bill 564)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 47(g) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County Treasurer", pro-
viding that the salary of the County Treasurer of Carroll County
shall be $3,500.00, effective upon the election for the next term
of office.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 47 (g) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County
Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

47.

(g) The County Treasurer of Carroll County shall receive an
annual salary of [$2,700.00] $3,500.00. Provided, that the County
Commissioners of Carroll County are authorized and empowered to
pay an additional sum to the said Treasurer, as may be set in their
discretion, for services performed by him distinct from those re-
quired of him in his capacity of Treasurer. The said County Com-
