Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That any Acts or things here-
tofore done by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County
under the powers set forth in this Act be and they are hereby satis-
fied and confirmed, and no liability shall attach to the said County
Commissioners, either personally or in their official capacity, for any
acts or things done in the expenditure of monies of the County here-
tofore under the powers set forth in this Act.
Sec. 4 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 276
(House Bill 520)
AN ACT to add new Sub-section (e) to Section 22 of Article 51 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Juries",
sub-title "Qualification and Selection of Jurors", said new sub-
section to follow immediately after Sub-section (d) thereof, in-
creasing the compensation paid to jurors in Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sub-section (e) be and it is hereby added to Section 22 of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Juries", sub-title "Qualification and Selection of Jurors", said
new sub-section to follow immediately after Sub-section (d) thereof,
and to read as follows:
22.
(e) In Cecil County, beginning with the term of court in Septem-
ber, 1957, jurors shall receive seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50)
per day for each and every day they shall attend a court of this State
as jurors and fifteen cents for each mile or fraction thereof over five
miles actually travelled every day going to and returning from the
court
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
