285G. The power and authority conferred upon the County Com-
missioners of Worcester County, Maryland, under Chapter 427 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1949, upon the
taking over of the roads in Worcester County from the State Roads
Commission, shall vest in the County Roads Board.

285H. Anything in this Act or in law to the contrary notwith-
standing, said County Roads Board shall have full power and author-
ity in every respect over the public roads, bridges, (except private
toll bridges), drains, water courses, public landings, culverts, curb-
ing and guttering in the County, including the power of condemna-
tion now or hereafter available to the County Commissioners of
Worcester County, Maryland, under any public general or public
local laws, including the power to make all rules and regulations
necessary to carry out the provisions of this sub-title, to make con-
tracts, to deal with employees, to purchase and use all necessary
buildings, land and equipment, and to pass ordinances after reason-
able public advertisement of them and public hearing thereon, set-
ting up enforcement and penal provisions for violations of the rules
and regulations and ordinances of said Board relating to the use of
any such roads, bridges, drains, water courses, public landings, cul-
verts, curbs and gutters.

285-I. (Saving Clause). If any clause, sentence, part or parts of

this Act, or of any Section thereof shall be held unconstitutional,
such unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity of the remain-
ing parts of this Act or of any Section thereof. The Legislature here-
by declares that it would have passed the remaining parts of this
Act or any Section thereof, if it had known such clause, sentence,
part or parts of any Section thereof would be declared unconstitu-
tional.

Section 2. And be it further enacted, as aforesaid, that this
Act shall take effect June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 222
(Senate Bill 407)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 130 and 131 of Article 15 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent Coun-
ty", sub-title "Circuit Court", and to add new Section 220A to
said Code, sub-title "Jurors", to follow immediately after Section
220 thereof, providing for the jury terms of court in Kent County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
