added to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Sup-
plement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon
Licenses", to follow immediately after Section 114 (b), and to read
as follows:

(b)-1. In Talbot County, it shall be unlawful for any person
MINOR under the age of twenty-one years to possess or have upon his
person any alcoholic beverages.
THE WORD MINOR SHALL
APPLY TO EVERY PERSON UNDER TWENTY-ONE YEARS
OF AGE, EXCEPT TO BONA FIDE EMPLOYEES IN THE
COURSE OF THEIR EMPLOYMENT AND WHOSE EMPLOY-
MENT IS NOT PROHIBITED BY ARTICLE 2B OF THE CODE
OF PUBLIC GENERAL LAWS OF MARYLAND. Any minor hav-
ing such alcoholic beverages in his possession as aforesaid shall upon
conviction be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not
more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00).

The trial magistrate shall have original jurisdiction to hear any
violation of this sub-section, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

114. (b)-2. No licensee, proprietor, or operator of any estab-
lishment dispensing alcoholic beverages shall permit the consumption
or possession of any alcoholic beverages by a person under the age
of twenty-one years upon said premises no matter by whom such
alcoholic beverages shall have been purchased or from whom obtained.
Anyone violating this sub-section shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than Fifty Dol-
lars ($50.00) in addition to any other penalties as provided under
this Article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(Senate Bill 188)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (g-a)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), providing for an increase in the salary of the assistant
State's attorney for Harford County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (g-a) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, and to read as follows:

40. (g-a) Cecil, Harford and Wicomico counties.—The State's
attorney of Cecil, Harford and Wicomico counties shall receive an
