1690                       Certificates of Referenda

For the adoption of Chapter 725, aforesaid, 217,326 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof 137,448 votes were cast;
and

For the adoption of Chapter 99, aforesaid, 286,720 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof 62,579 votes were cast;
and

For the adoption of Chapter 100, aforesaid, 336,445 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof 58,318 votes were cast;
and

For the adoption of Chapter 124, aforesaid 225,081 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof 147,607 votes were cast;
and

Now, Therefore, I, Theodore R. McKeldin, Governor of Mary-
land, in pursuance of the authority and direction contained in Sec-
tion 1 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Maryland, do by this my
Proclamation hereby declare and proclaim that the greatest number
of votes having been cast in favor of the above recited Chapters 557,
616, 626, 725, 99, 100 and 124, and each of them, the same as specifi-
cally set forth in said Acts, have been and are duly ratified by the
legal and qualified voters of the State, and henceforth they, and each
of them shall become parts of the Constitution of the State of Mary-
land, as in said Acts specifically set forth.

Given Under My Hand and the Great Seal of the State
of Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis this 21st
(Great Seal day of November, in the Year of Our Lord, One
of the State Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty Six.
