ative to the method of establishing public landings in Queen
Anne's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 145 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Public Land-
ings", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

145. Upon all applications to establish a public landing, the same
proceedings shall be had as on applications to open a public road.
Provided that the procedures in this section shall not be applicable
in Queen Anne's County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

Approved March 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 133
(House Bill 379)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section 24 (d)
of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition
and 1956 Supplement), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Sheriffs",
relating to the fees chargeable by the Sheriff of Queen Anne's
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section 24 (d) of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement) title "Fees of
Officers", sub-title "Sheriffs", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

24.

(d) (Baltimore [County] and Queen Anne's Counties.)—The
Sheriff of Baltimore [County] and Queen Anne's Counties shall be
entitled to charge and receive the following fees for the following
items in lieu of the fees provided for such items in the above Sub-
section (a), to wit:

1.   For serving writ and return................................................ $1.65

2.   For serving scire facias, including the person summoned,

for each person summoned.................................................. 2.00

3.   For serving citation, for each person summoned............ 2.00

4.   For serving subpoena and return........................................ 2.00

5.   For serving a copy of declaration, short note, nar and
notice of process, for each individual copy.........................50
