Volunteer Fireman's Training Facilities Tax", and "Against Volun-
teer Fireman's Training Facilities Tax", with provision for the voter
making a choice on said question. If a majority of the persons
voting on said question shall vote "For Volunteer Fireman's Train-
ing Facilities Tax", then this Act shall be immediately of full force
and effect but if a majority of the persons voting on said question
shall vote "Against Volunteer Fireman's Training Facilities Tax",
then this Act shall be void and of no effect and no further action
shall be taken thereunder.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 811
(House Bill 813)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 651 (a)
and (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County," sub-title "Fire Com-
panies," relating to the fire tax rate and disposition in a certain
portion of the 17th Election District of Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 651 (a) and (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County,"
sub-title "Fire Companies," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

651. (a) There shall be levied and assessed an annual fire tax in
the amount of [Twelve] Eight Cents upon each One Hundred Dol-
lars of the assessed valuation of the real and personal property
within that portion of the 17th (Chillum) Election District, as con-
stituted on January 1, 1953, bounded by New Hampshire Avenue,
the south side of Ethan Allen Avenue, the Takoma Park City boundary
line, and the District of Columbia-Maryland State line, but not in-
cluding property within any incorporated area.

(b) The proceeds of the fire tax collected each tax-year after June
1, 1953 1957, shall be disbursed by the appropriate officer of Prince
George's County to the [City of Takoma Park, Maryland, for the
exclusive use of the Municipal Fire Department of that municipality,
as full payment by the unincorporated areas of the 17th (Chillum)
Election District of Prince George's County, in return for the City
of Takoma Park providing complete fire protection and rescue-
ambulance service within the portion of said election district described
