THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND FOUR FROM
THE ANNE ARUNDEL VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIA-
TION, INC., TO BE SELECTED BY THE ASSOCIATION, SUB-
JECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE COUNTY COMMISSION-
ERS; AND ONE TO BE SELECTED BY THE FIRE MARSHAL
OF ANNAPOLIS, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF ANNAPOLIS. OF THE MEM-
BERS REPRESENTING THE ANNE ARUNDEL VOLUNTEER
FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION, INC., FIRST SELECTED ONE
SHALL SERVE A TERM OF OFFICE FOR ONE YEAR, ONE
FOR TWO YEARS, ONE FOR THREE YEARS, AND ONE FOR
FOUR YEARS, AS DESIGNATED BY THE ASSOCIATION; AND
THE MEMBER REPRESENTING THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
SHALL SERVE A TERM OF FIVE YEARS. THEREAFTER A
VACANCY FROM THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FIREMEN'S
ASSOCIATION, INC., OR FROM THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
SHALL BE FILLED FOR A TERM OF FIVE YEARS. VACAN-
CIES OCCURRING FROM OTHER THAN NORMAL tenure of
office shall be filled only for the unexpired term of the committee
member.
(2) This committee is hereby authorized to approve vouchers, for
payment by the County Commissioners from the account herein pro-
vided for, covering such funds as deemed necessary in the process
of providing, constructing and maintaining adequate training facili-
ties for the Volunteer Firemen within the County. PROVIDED
THAT NO VOUCHER SHALL BE APPROVED FOR A PERIOD
OF THREE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE.
(3) An initial meeting of this committee shall be called by the
President of the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen's Asso-
ciation, Inc., within 60 days after the final passage of this Act for
the purpose of selecting a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary
of said committee. The President of the Anne Arundel Volunteer
Firemen's Association, Inc., shall be an ex officio member of this
committee.
(U) There shall be a minimum of one meeting of this committee
each quarter of each fiscal year and at such other times as deemed
necessary.
(D) NO SUCH TRAINING FACILITIES SHALL BE ESTAB-
LISHED WITHIN TWO MILES OF THE BOUNDARY OF THE
CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.
(D) THE USE OF ANY PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSES OF
THIS SECTION SHALL CONFORM TO THE ZONING LAWS
AND REGULATIONS OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That before the provisions of
this Act shall become effective, the County Commissioners and the
Board of Election Supervisors of Anne Arundel County shall submit
the questions to the qualified voters of said county at the next regular
gubernatorial election to be held in Anne Arundel County in No-
vember, 1958. Except as otherwise provided herein, said referendum
shall be governed and controlled by the provisions of Article 33 of
the Annotated Code (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement). The
voting machine shall be suitably prepared for the submission of said
