Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 99 (a) and 99 (b) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
sub-title "Hours and Days for Sale," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

99. (Prince George's County). In Prince George's County, (a)
No holder of any retail alcoholic beverage license or any agent, servant
or employee of a holder of any alcoholic beverage license shall be per-
mitted to sell SELL OR SERVE any alcoholic beverages or permit
any alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the licensed premises be-
tween the hours of 2:00 A. M. and 6:00 A. M. and no holder of any re-
tail alcoholic beverage license or any agent, servant or employee of a
holder of any alcoholic beverages license
shall be permitted to sell any
alcoholic beverage or permit any alcoholic beverage to be consumed
on the licensed premises between the hours of 12:00 midnight on
Saturday and 6:00 A. M. the following Monday, except that holders of
any "On Sale" retail alcoholic beverage license, their agents, servants
or employees
may sell beer and light wine on Sunday between the
hours of 8:00 A. M. and 12:00 midnight, and no holder of a Class A,
beer, wine and liquor license or any agent;, servant or employee of a
holder of a Class A beer, wine and liquor license
shall be permitted to
make any sale between the hours of midnight and 6:00 A. M. or on
Sunday.

(b) The holder of a Class B beer, wine and liquor license (On
Sale—Hotels and Restaurants), or any of his agents, servants or
employees,
shall not be permitted to sell or SERVE, OR PERMIT TO
BE CONSUMED ON THE LICENSED PREMISES, on Sunday any
alcoholic beverages containing more than fourteen percentum of
alcohol by volume.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 808
(House Bill 797)

AN ACT to add a new Section 99 (d) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title
"Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Hours and Days for Sale", said
new section to follow immediately after Section 99 (c) thereof,
requiring Class B beer, wine and liquor licensees AND HOLDERS
OF ANY CLASS A (OFF SALE) LICENSES to keep certain
alcoholic beverages in a locked compartment OR ENCLOSURE at
certain times in Prince George's County.

Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added to existing law.

[Brackets] indicate matter stricken from existing law.
CAPITALS indicate amendments to bill.
Strike out indicates matter stricken out of bill.
