CHAPTER 806
(House Bill 794)
AN ACT to add a new Section 36 (a) (5) to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Local Licenses and License
Provisions", said new section to follow immediately after Section
36 (a) (4) thereof, prescribing certain powers and duties of the
Board of License Commissioners.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 36 (a) (5) be and it is hereby added to Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Local Licenses
and License Provisions", said new section to follow immediately after
Section 36 (a) (4) thereof, and to read as follows:
36. Prince George's County,
(a)
(5) In Prince George's County, in addition to the other powers
and duties conferred upon them, the Board of License Commissioners
may prescribe rules and regulations concerning the granting and the
date of issuing licenses when the actual use of the license is to be
deferred until the completion of construction work or alteration on
the premises; and further, said Board may prescribe rules and regu-
lations concerning alterations and additions to any licensed premises
and the use thereof.; THE PROVISIONS HEREOF SHALL NOT
BE CONSTRUED TO PREVENT THE ISSUANCE, OR RE-
NEWAL, OF A LICENSE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED, OR AUTHOR-
IZED FOR ISSUANCE, WHERE THE PREMISES LICENSED OR
TO BE LICENSED ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION OR THE
ALTERATIONS TO BE MADE THEREIN ARE IN PROGRESS.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 795)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 99 (a)
and 99 (b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-title "Hours
and Days For Sale," relating generally to the hours and days of
sale for alcoholic beverages in Prince George's County.
