1492 Laws of Maryland [Ch. 809
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 99 (d) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Hour and Days for
Sale", said new section to follow immediately after Section 99 (c)
thereof, and to read as follows:
99.
(d) In Prince George's County the holder of a Class B beer, wine
and liquor license shall keep all alcoholic beverages other than beer
and light wine securely closed and locked in a compartment, COM-
PARTMENTS or enclosure between the hours of 8:00 12:15 A. M. on
Sunday and 6.00 A. M. the following Monday, AND THE HOLDER
OF ANY CLASS A (OFF-SALE) LICENSE WHO OFFERS FOR
SALE IN HIS LICENSED PREMISES COMMODITIES OTHER
THAN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND IS OPEN ON SUNDAYS
FOR THE SALE OF SUCH COMMODITIES SHALL KEEP ALL
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES UPON THE PREMISES IN A SEPA-
RATE BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT SECURELY CLOSED AND
LOCKED IN A COMPARTMENT, COMPARTMENTS OR EN-
CLOSURE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:00 O'CLOCK MID-
NIGHT ON SATURDAY AND 6:00 A. M. THE FOLLOWING
MONDAY, subject to rules and regulations of the Board of License
Commissioners. NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THE PROVISIONS
HEREOF. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL NOT AP-
PLY TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN STORAGE AREAS
WHICH ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Justices", sub-title "Qualification and Selection of Jurors?"
AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS,
SECTION 79 OF ARTICLE 1 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC
LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND (1930 EDITION), TITLE "AL-
LEGANY COUNTY", SUB-TITLE "CIRCUIT COURT", SUB-
HEADING "EMPLOYEES" AS SAID SECTION WAS AMEND-
ED BY CHAPTER 555 OF THE ACTS OF 1953, increasing the
per diem compensation of jurors in Allegany County AND IN-
CREASING THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN MESSEN-
