942, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (Everstine 1953 Edition) being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County",
sub-title "Juvenile Court", as said sections were enacted by Chapter
913 of the Acts of 1947, repealing the local laws providing for the
establishment of a Juvenile Court for Prince George's County and
setting up generally its powers, functions and duties, adding
Prince George's County to the state-wide laws concerning juvenile
courts; and to enact new sections to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (Everstine 1953 Edition) being Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince
George's County" to be under a new sub-title "Juvenile Causes"
and to be known as Sections 920 to 926, inclusive, of said Code,
relating generally to the office of Master for Juvenile Causes in
Prince George's County and relating generally to the treatment
and disposition of cases in Prince George's County concerning
young persons and to the operation, personnel and functions of the
Juvenile Court for Prince George's County and the jurisdiction
of the Circuit Court with respect to Juvenile Causes.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4A of Chapter 797 of the Acts of 1945 be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
4A. The provisions of this Act shall not apply to Allegany,
Garrett, [Prince George's,] Montgomery and Washington Counties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 920 to 942, in-
clusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(Everstine 1953 Edition) being Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County," sub-title
"Juvenile Court" as said sections were enacted by Chapter 913 of the
Acts of 1947, be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted. That new sections be and are
hereby added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (Everstine 1953 Edition) being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County," said
new sections to be known as Sections 920 to 926, inclusive, to be
under a new sub-heading "Juvenile Causes" to read as follows:
Juvenile Causes
920. The Circuit Court for Prince George's County is authorized
and empowered to designate, appoint and employ a qualified person
to be known as the Master for Juvenile Causes of the Circuit Court
of Prince George's County, who shall be a member of the Bar of the
State of Maryland, at such salary as the Judges of the Circuit Court
may order and approve, to be paid by the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County. The duties of the Master for Juvenile Causes
shall be such as may be prescribed by the Judges of the Circuit Court
for Prince George's County.
921. The Circuit Court for Prince George's County may designate
the place or places for holding hearings by the Judges of said Court,
or the Master for Juvenile Causes appointed by said Court, and such
place or places may be changed, from time to time, as the Court
may order, and may be in such locations within Prince George's
