AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 250 (j)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans' Court",
providing for the compensations of the Judges of the Orphans'
Court of Baltimore County; AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT,
WITH AMENDMENTS, SECTION 250 (E) OF SAID ARTICLE
AND SUB-TITLE, AND TO ADD SECTION 250 (J-l) THERE-
TO (1951 EDITION AND 1956 SUPPLEMENT), TO FOLLOW
IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 250 (J) THEREOF, RE-
LATING TO THE COMPENSATION AND TRAVEL ALLOW-
ANCE OF THE JUDGES OF THE ORPHANS' COURT IN DOR-
CHESTER COUNTY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 250 (j) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Or-
phans' Court" be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
250. Compensation of Judges of Orphans' Court, (j) Compen-
sation in Baltimore County.—The salary of [each] the judges of the
orphans' court for Baltimore County shall [receive the sum Twelve
Dollars for every day's attendance upon the sessions of the Court]
be Four Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($4,200.00) per annum.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the increase in the com-
pensations herein provided of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore County shall not apply to the Judges who are in office at
the time this law is enacted. The said increases shall be effective
only as to the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore County who
become such next after the time this law is enacted.
SEC. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT SECTION
250 (E) OF SAID ARTICLE AND SUB-TITLE BE AND IT IS
HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMEND-
MENTS, AND THAT SECTION 250 (J-l) BE AND IT IS HEREBY
ADDED THERETO (1951 EDITION AND 1956 SUPPLEMENT),
TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 250 (J) THERE-
OF, AND ALL TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
250.
(E) COMPENSATION AND TRAVEL ALLOWANCE IN CER-
TAIN COUNTIES.—EACH OF THE JUDGES OF THE ORPHANS'
COURT FOR CARROLL, CHARLES, HOWARD, QUEEN ANNE'S,
SOMERSET, WICOMICO AND WORCESTER COUNTIES SHALL
RECEIVE THE SUM OF EIGHT DOLLARS ($8.00) FOR EVERY
DAY'S ATTENDANCE UPON THE SESSIONS OF SAID COURT.
