CHAPTER 795
(House Bill 676)
AN ACT to add new Section 806A to Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County",
to follow immediately after Section 806 thereof, as Section 806 was
was amended by Chapter 77 of the Acts of 1953, and to be under
the new sub-title "Tobacco Tax", relating to a tax on tobacco prod-
ucts in Frederick County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 806A be and it is hereby added to Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Fred-
erick County", to follow immediately after Section 806 thereof, as
Section 806 was amended by Chapter 77 of the Acts of 1953, and to
be under the new sub-title "Tobacco Tax", and to read as follows:
806A. The County Commissioners of Frederick County are hereby
empowered and authorized to levy and impose a tax to be paid and
collected on all cigarettes, cigars, smoking tobacco and chewing
tobacco possessed or held in Frederick County by any person, firm
or corporation for sale, at such rate as the said County Commissioners
shall from time to time determine, and to fix a penalty not in excess
of a fine of $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both
such fine and imprisonment for violation of the provisions of any
regulation or ordinance of said County Commissioners adopted pur-
suant to this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 796
(House Bill 697)
AN ACT to repeal Section 1337-A of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953) being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County",
sub-title "Roads" as enacted by Chapter 384 of the Acts of 1955;
to add Section 464B to said Code and said Article, sub-title "County
Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 464A thereof,
authorizing the Board of County Commissioners for Prince
George's County, Maryland, to provide for municipal functions
and/or governmental services such as, but not restricted to,
garbage and trash collection, street lighting, street signs, street
cleaning and other services, FOR ACQUISITION AND OPERA-
TION OF LAND AND SITES FOR DISPOSITION OF TRASH
