CHAPTER 109
(Senate Bill 287)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 65 of
Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "State Roads", sub-title "Duties and Powers", including Tal-
bot County in the law permitting exchange of State and county
roads.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 65 of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "State Roads", sub-title "Duties and Powers",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
65. For the purpose of reducing the cost of road maintenance, the
State Roads Commission and the County Commissioners of the
several Counties are hereby authorized to provide, by mutual agree-
ment, at any time to change the status of any road within the said
County from a county road to a state road or from a state road to a
county road; provided, however, that the provisions of this section
shall not apply to Caroline, Somerset, Cecil, Queen Anne's £, Tal-
bot,] and Worcester Counties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
