now included therein and to prohibit municipal corporations within
said areas from exercising powers relating to planning, subdivision
control, or zoning.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section is hereby added to the Maryland-Washington
Regional District Act, as enacted by Chapter 992 of the Laws of
Maryland 1943, and amendments thereto, to be known as Section
2-A-(3) of said Act, to read as follows:

2-A-(3). The following described areas within Prince George's
County are hereby added to the Maryland-Washington Regional Dis-
trict:

(a) All that part of Prince George's George's County which is not now

included within the said Regional District and which lies north of

line running parallel to and three hundred (300) feet south of the

center line of Central Avenue (Maryland Route 214). BEGINNING
AT THE INTERSECTION OF DEFENSE HIGHWAY (U. S. 50)
AND HILLMEADE ROAD AND THE EASTERLY BOUNDARY
OF THE EXISTING REGIONAL DISTRICT, THENCE EAST-
ERLY WITH THE CENTERLINE OF DEFENSE HIGHWAY
(U. S. 50) TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE CENTER LINE
OF CRAIN HIGHWAY (U. S. 301) THENCE NORTHEASTERLY
WITH THE CENTERLINE OF CRAIN HIGHWAY TO THE PA-
TUXENT RIVER AND THE EASTERLY BOUNDARY OF
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG
SAID COUNTY BOUNDARY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH
THE SOUTHERLY BOUNDARY OF THE U. S. DEPARTMENT
OF THE INTERIOR, PATUXENT RESEARCH REFUGE, AS
DESCRIBED JANUARY 1, 1957, THENCE SOUTHWEST ALONG
SAID BOUNDARY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE SPRING-
FIELD ROAD AND THE EXISTING REGIONAL DISTRICT
BOUNDARY LINE, THENCE SOUTHEAST ALONG THE EXIST-
ING REGIONAL BOUNDARY AND THE SPRINGFIELD AND
HILLMEADE ROAD TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING.

(b) Beginning at the intersection of the existing Maryland-Wash-
ington Regional District boundary and the Potomac Electric Power
Company transmission line (approximately 800 feet east of Henson
Creek), thence along said transmission line to its intersection with a
line 300 feet southeast of and parallel to Allentown Road, thence
southwest along said line 300 feet southeast of and parallel to Allen-
town Road to its intersection with a line 300 feet east of and parallel
to Old Fort Road Spur, thence south along said line 300 feet east
of and parallel to Old Fort Road Spur to a line SCO feet east of and
parallel to Old Fort Road and continuing southwest along said line
300 feet east of and parallel to Old Fort Road to its intersection with
a line 300 feet northeast of and parallel to Livingston Road, thence
southeast along said line 300 feet northeast of and parallel to Livings-
ton Road to its intersection with the Piscataway Creek, thence with
the center line of Piscataway Creek to the Potomac River, thence
north along the westerly boundary of Prince George's County to its
intersection with the existing Regional District Boundary, thence
easterly with said existing Regional District Boundary to the place
of beginning.
