26-22A. Authority to regulate movement of vehicles over County
roads.
Prohibited; exception. The County Council for Montgomery
County be and it is hereby empowered and authorized to pass and
adopt such reasonable rules, orders and regulations as it may deem
proper restricting and/or limiting the movement of automobiles or
other vehicles on any public highway under the control of said County
Council, including but not limited to the designation of certain roads
for use by all trucks of certain weights as "truck routes" and the
prevention of the use by trucks of certain weights of certain roads in
the county; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall
not apply to necessary delivery, service or rescue vehicles or vehicles
engaged in local construction, excavation, landscaping or other opera-
tions, and provided, further, that after the passage and adoption of
any such rules, orders and regulations the said County Council may
cause to be placed and thereafter maintained in conspicuous places
along such highways signs or markers appropriately describing the
rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this Act as may be ap-
plicable to the particular highway. The County Council may pre-
scribe such penalty for violation of rules, orders and regulations
adopted pursuant to this Act as it deems appropriate, but not to
exceed a fine of $100 or imprisonment for thirty days, or both such
fine and imprisonment.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be regarded
as supplemental and additional to powers conferred upon the County
Council by other Laws and shall not be regarded as in derogation of
any powers of said Council now existing.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 89
(House Bill 193)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, WITH AMENDMENTS, Sections
45 and 46 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Circuit
Court" relating to the terms of the Circuit Court and juries in
Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 45 and 46 of Article 24 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Worcester County", sub-title "Circuit
Court" be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, WITH
AMENDMENTS, to read as follows:

45. There shall be [four] two terms of the Circuit Court for
Worcester County to be held at Snow Hill, commencing on [the third
