A condensed report and Accountant's Certificate shall thereafter
promptly be published by the County Commissioners in at least one
issue, in not less than two newspapers of general circulation published
in Cecil County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 674)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 503 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Health", sub-title "Hair Dressers and Beauty Culturists",
amending the laws concerning the compensation and traveling ex-
penses of members of the State Board of Hair Dressers and Beauty
Culturists.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 503 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Hair Dressers and Beauty
Culturists", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
503. (Compensation of Board and Employees.) Each member of
said Board shall receive Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each day em-
ployed in the actual discharge of his or her official duties, [not to
exceed in any one year the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,-
500.00) for any member of the Board,} and his or her necessary
penses so incurred. There shall at all times be available for con-
sultation at least one member of the Board. The compensation and
expenses of the members and officers of said Board, and all expenses,
including office help and professional advice, and services which, in
the opinion of said Board, are proper and necessary to discharge its
duties and to enforce the law, shall be paid out of such fund upon
the approval of the Chairman of said Board. The salaries shall be
paid by the Board at the rate per diem of actual service herein pro-
vided and traveling expenses [may be allowed in the discretion of
the Board not exceeding Six Cents per mile] , in accordance with
State regulations, shall be allowed to members of the Board for at-
tendance at Board meetings. Said Board may also employ a chief
inspector to assist the Board in the discharge of its duties, and two
assistants. The compensation of the chief inspector and the assistant
inspectors shall be as provided in the State Budget and be payable
out of the funds of the Board.
