CHAPTER 625
(House Bill 573)

AN ACT authorizing and empowering the County Council for Mont-
gomery County to abolish, by resolution of the said County Council,
the special tax area or district in Montgomery County known as the
"Montgomery County Suburban District", and to repeal or amend
such of the provisions of the Montgomery County Code (1955 Edi-
tion) as pertain to the said Suburban District and the regulation,
administration, management or government thereof, or in any man-
ner relate thereto, and pertaining generally to the said Suburban
District.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Council for Montgomery County be and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to abolish, by resolution of the said County
Council, the special tax area or district in Montgomery County
known as "the Montgomery County Suburban District" as created
by Chapter 692 of the Acts of 1927, and as may have been amended
from time to time thereafter, and that the said County Council be and
it is further authorized and empowered to repeal or amend, by resolu-
tion thereof, such of the provisions of the Montgomery County Code
(1955 Edition), being also Article 16 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland, as may pertain to the said District and the regulation,
administration, management or government thereof or in any manner
relate thereto.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a yea and
nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 626
(House Bill 582)

AN ACT to repeal Section 190 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition, being Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County",
sub-title "Building Permits", and to enact new Section 190 in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place and stead of the section so repealed,
and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 187 and 192
of said Code and sub-title, amending the laws on building permits
in Anne Arundel County.
